Green

Green -- easily one of my favorite colors -- the color of new leaves, new life; the color of Spring. Green is suppose to induce feelings of relaxation, reduce stress & anxiety levels and is universally known as the color of "safety". In many cultures, worldwide, green is associated with regeneration, eternal life, paradise, virtue & wisdom. It's the color of luck, fertility and there's is definitely a reason our money is green. The profit Mohammad is said to have worn a green cloak & turban and houses in Ghardaïa, Algeria are painted green to show the occupants have made the pilgrimage to Mecca. To this day, the green & orange of St. Patrick's Day represent the divide between Irish-Catholics (green) and Irish-Protestants (orange). Green occupies more space in the color spectrum visible to our eyes than any other color and is second as a favorite color only to blue. I guess this means it really is good to be green -- unless you happen to be my hideous French press...
